Copywriters not only create sales copy, they also write persuasive content that educates, informs and raises funds.

I write a lot of copy for NGO&#039;s and other non-profits, including hospitals. This content raises desperately needed funds for poor Nicaraguan families. It persuades philanthropists to donate to needy kids in the poorest Bronx neighborhoods.

Digital and print content speaks reassuringly to scared cancer patients. It educates parents dealing with a child&#039;s diagnosis--of heart disease, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, hearing loss--and helps families inform themselves of their child&#039;s condition or disease and its treatment options. 

I could go on--but just think for a minute of all the persuasive copy needed by non-profits and educational institutions: Web, advertising, collateral, DM and fundraising content--and you get an idea of copywriting&#039;s benefit to mankind.
